Rooted in Sisterhood, Blossoming in Service

This November, we proudly celebrate Stakeholder Iva B. Carter as our Illuminated Ivy—a woman whose quiet strength, strategic brilliance, and unwavering dedication have shaped the Ivy Enrichment Foundation of Tampa Bay, Inc. in meaningful and lasting ways. As an elected member of the Board of Directors for multiple terms and the Foundation’s inaugural Grants Management Chairman, Iva played a critical role in developing the policies, procedures, and infrastructure that continue to guide our grantmaking today. Her leadership set the standard for excellence, accountability, and long-term sustainability.

Her impact extends far beyond Grants Management. Stakeholder Iva continues to lend her expertise to several Foundation committees, including Budget & Finance, Capital Campaign, Elderly Computing, Financial Resources, the Pinc Carpet Affair, and Scholarships. She also spearheaded the Virtual Scholarship Reception—first as Co-Chair and later as Chairman—ensuring students and families received a dignified, meaningful celebration of their accomplishments. Her consistency, organization, and heart for service have strengthened the Foundation’s operational backbone and enriched the programs that touch our community.

Within Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Stakeholder Iva is a Life Member and Silver Star with 38 years of devoted service. She has held numerous elected and appointed roles within the Gamma Theta Omega Chapter, including Grammateus, Ivy Leaf Reporter, Historian, and Chaplain, while chairing and supporting committees that preserve history, elevate sisterhood, and cultivate scholarship. Her regional service is equally distinguished, including supporting multiple regional leaders and serving as Administrative Assistant to the 17th South Atlantic Regional Director.

Beyond her exceptional organizational and volunteer leadership, Iva’s life is shaped by deep faith and a commitment to uplifting others. A licensed minister, longtime youth ministry leader, and counselor, she uses her gifts to serve individuals and families in need. She is also a published children’s book author and entrepreneur whose work promotes healthy habits and holistic living.

A devoted wife to Frank and proud mother of Frank III and Zachary, Stakeholder Iva Carter continues to embody grace, service, and purpose in all she does. The Ivy Enrichment Foundation is honored to celebrate her as our November Illuminated Ivy.
