Some leaders command attention with volume. Others lead with consistency, grace, and action. Our December Illuminated Ivy, Felecia Gilmore-Long, is firmly rooted in the latter—quietly powerful, deeply committed, and always ready to roll up her sleeves to get the work done.
Over the past two years, Felecia has been a steady and dependable force within the Foundation. Known for her calm spirit and solution-oriented mindset, she has consistently stepped in to meet needs, strengthen operations, and support the work wherever required—always with excellence and intention.
Her service record reflects both breadth and depth. Felecia has served the Foundation in numerous leadership roles, including Director at Large, Chairman of the Technology Committee, and Chair of the Foundation’s Girl Scout Committee. She also played a critical role on the Strategic Planning Committee, helping to identify the Foundation’s strengths, challenges, and path forward. Her leadership further extended to the PINC Carpet Gala Steering Committee, Scholarship Committee, and the Reading Is More Than Fundamental Program—each role marked by follow-through, collaboration, and impact.
Felecia’s commitment to the Foundation’s future is equally evident through her support of the Capital Campaign, where she has reached Ivy Level, reflecting both belief in the mission and personal investment in its success.
A proud Florida State University graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, Felecia’s professional expertise extends well beyond the Foundation. She is a respected pillar in the community, serving in multiple leadership roles with Girl Scouts of the United States of America and Girl Scouts of West Central Florida. In recognition of her dedication and influence, she was honored as a 2022 Woman of Distinction.
Her service continues through her active support of the Cuddle Up and Read Every Day nonprofit, where she provides marketing, fundraising, and technology expertise, and through her work as a tutor to underperforming students—quietly changing lives, one child at a time.
Most recently, Felecia’s leadership was affirmed by the membership as she successfully ran for—and was elected—2026–2027 First Vice President. This milestone reflects the trust she has earned and the respect she commands through action, integrity, and service.
Felecia embodies an easy, calm spirit paired with a “can-do” mindset. She may not always be the loudest voice in the room, but her impact is undeniable. She leads by example, serves with humility, and inspires through consistent action.
We are proud to recognize Felecia Gilmore-Long as our December Illuminated Ivy and grateful for the light she brings to the Foundation, our community, and all those she serves.
